#How to format my hard drive on dell poweredge how to
Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this or how to fix it? The system is working fine, so I'm assuming that it's an informational message, but still I'd like to get them to the correct status. I do not see anywhere to get more details on this status or run diagnostics on a drive. I have one more question.Since the new 8TB drive was added, all of my other virtual disks (6TB) are now showing with a status of 'Non-Critical'. I'm assuming this is because the system won't let you remove any drive if it detects there is already one failed or offline drive in the array? Note: The drives now have an OFFLINE option, which they didn't have before the new disk was added. Very nice!!! It took about 24 hours to complete the rebuild process and now shows with a status of ONLINE.

As soon as I put in the 8TB drive, it appeared as virtual disk #4 in OpenManage Server Administrator with a status of Rebuilding. I was able to just slap the new drive into the bay and the system automatically started the rebuild. I had an issue with the original drive that Dell had sent me (too small) and the system couldn't add it to the RAID Array, but after getting the new 8TB hard drive everything worked fine. Thanks to everyone that replied to my initial cry for help.
